DAY 18: Thursday, July 22, 2010
Michael Huffington, former member of the House of Representatives who lost a U.S. Senate election in California by 1.9%, stops by the Re-Bar to watch the shoot in preparation for the cameo he will make tomorrow; let’s just say his political background will come in handy for this role.
Cobie Smulders spends the majority of the morning chatting up Jason Biggs at the Re-Bar in multiple takes. Don’t be too envious, How I Met Your Mother fans – it’s only acting.
The afternoon was an enormous general election scene. Emily Bergl announced the emerging election results in a gorgeous taffeta dress. Her experience as a cabaret performer makes this far more entertaining than most election updates. But no, she did not break out a rendition of “Mein Herr.” And she did not ask anyone to unzip her dress in front of everyone for a public costume change, as she did to producer Peggy Rajski during her cabaret at the Can Can last Sunday evening.
A new promo is taking shape on the Grassroots Facebook page: You send us questions you have for any of the cast or crew, we choose questions and get the answers on camera from the appropriate party or parties, and those clips show up on the Facebook page. So ask away!
