Cast News From Vancouver to Wisteria Lane

In addition to being an accomplished actor for stage, screen, and television, Portland native Joel David Moore (who stars as City Council candidate Grant Cogswell in GRASSROOTS) is also a director and writer. After premiering this month at the Hollyshorts Film Festival, Joel’s most recent short, HOURS BEFORE, will screen at the Vancouver International Film Festival this fall. Joel’s other directing credits include SPIRAL, BYRON PHILLIPS: FOUND, and MILES FROM HOME.

In other GRASSROOTS cast news, Emily Bergl (who plays campaign worker Theresa), has just signed up for a recurring role on “Desperate Housewives,” where she will be a “fragile soul” with a big secret. Eva Longoria recently posted the first photo of Emily on the set.
