Back to the roots
Grassroots fans…I’m backkkk! I spent my vacation time flashing people…with my Grassroots t-shirt!! That’s me to the left, flashing my polar bear in front of the rides at Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America. As soon as I got back, I caught up on Grassroots gossip and checked out some of the submission videos that came in for the Make Your Own Infomercial Contest. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, it’s a serious opportunity for aspiring filmmakers! It’s a contest where you can create and submit your own informercial and the winning submission will be included in a scene in the Grassroots movie! Details are on Facebook if you want to know more. Check it out because there is still time to send in your informercial!
Speaking of time, there isn’t much left before my favorite day of the year: Halloween!!!! We want Grassroots fans to send in pictures in their greatest/funniest/craziest Halloween costumes. I love Halloween and dress up, so I am really looking forward to seeing all the costumes Grassroots fans send in! For my costume this year…I’m going to live my secret dream – to be a female rapper. I’m thinking that since I’m no Eminem, I can role play on Halloween. And like any good actor, I’m doing research for the role. I’m buying Def Jam Rapstar for my Wii and I studied the last video post on the blog where Cedric spits his flow and Joel lays down a beat in a polar bear suit. Speaking of polar bears, I read somewhere that they can eat like 80 penguins in one sitting. Ew.
Back to Cedric the Entertainer…the definition of cool. I met Cedric the Entertainer years ago at a Jay Leno taping and he was wearing these amazing shoes that even Jay Leno commented on. I also heard through the grapevine that a bunch of people hopped out of their car in the middle of the street in Seattle to say what’s up to Cedric. So maybe I can learn a thing or two about winning over an audience from Cedric, you know, for my future rap career. And while I work on my dream, anyone who dreams of making movies should take a first step and send in their informercial to the contest. Who knows what could happen? You might just win and have your work featured in Grassroots and I might just win a Grammy
