Robin Gurland started her career doing local casting for Francis Ford Coppola’s Commercial Pictures where she cast over a dozen feature films including Wayne Wang’s JOY LUCK CLUB and Sam Raimi’s THE QUICK AND THE DEAD. Her first feature as casting director was Henry Selick’s JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH. Gurland then joined Lucasfilm and worked with George Lucas for over five years as the casting director for STAR WARS EPISODE I and STAR WARS EPISODE II. After Lucasfilm, she continued as a casting director and casting consultant on feature films including BEE SEASON, VALLEY OF THE HEART’S DELIGHT and PRINCESS KAIULANI.
